Orientation

Where Sandton sits (municipal orientation)

Sandton falls under the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality's Region E (official region label: Sandton, Alexandra). CoJ places Region E toward the northeastern end of the metro — north of it Region A (Midrand), west Region B, south Region F; east toward Ekurhuleni. CoJ describes Sandton central as a leading financial district (including JSE Limited) with a substantial office and residential mix. Place-names CoJ lists inside Region E are municipal colour only — not new Street Side hubs. Street-level feel still varies block to block; walk peak and off-peak once each way before you settle routines.

Sandton CSC and Joburg Connect

Services include account payments and enquiries, credit control arrangements, meter investigations, reconnections, refunds, termination of services, and new connections for electricity, water and sewer. Account and billing queries: Joburg Connect option 1. City Power: Joburg Connect option 2; for a new physical connection, follow CoJ's New Connections page (page states roughly 21 days after payment for install — re-confirm live). Joburg Water: Joburg Connect option 3. For an existing premises when moving in: follow CoJ's open-account path (CSC / consumer agreement + deposit + ID + proof of ownership or tenancy). Depot hours for City Power Reuven / Joburg Water are not asserted here — use Joburg Connect unless a primary page states them.

Waste, licensing, and CoJ emergency

Waste: Pikitup is the City's official waste management municipal-owned entity. Queries via Joburg Connect option 4; Pikitup also publishes 0860 562874 among reporting numbers. CoJ states wheeled bins stay with the property when you move. Licensing: CoJ Licensing acts as agent for Provincial Roads & Transport. Do not treat this hub as a Sandton school list, ranking, or catchment map. For public admissions and feeder-zone checks, use Gauteng Department of Education Admissions Online and Explore Schools — search by home address. Independent / private schools: verify on each school's official site or ISASA / provincial notices — not listed here.
